Program Educational Objectives:

  • Preparation & Learning Environment: To prepare and provide student with an academic environment for students to excel in postgraduate programs or to succeed in industry / technical profession and the life-long learning needed for a successful professional career.
  • Core Competence: To provide students with a solid foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals required to solve engineering problems and also to pursue higher studies.
  • Breadth: To train students with good scientific and engineering breadth so as to comprehend, analyze, design, and create novel products and solutions for the real life problems.
  • Professionalism: To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills, teamwork skills, multidisciplinary approach, and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.

  • Graduate will demonstrate an ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in key areas of Design, Production and Thermal of Mechanical Engineering discipline

  • Graduate will demonstrate ability in conducting investigations to solve problems using research based knowledge and methods to provide logical conclusions
  • Graduate will demonstrate skills to use modern engineering and IT tools, softwares and equipment to analyze the problems in Mechanical Engineering
  • Graduate will show the understanding of impact of engineering solutions on the society to assess health, safety, legal, and social issues in Mechanical Engineering

  • DAB chaired by head of the department, receives the report of the Program Assessment Committee and monitors the progress of the program

  • DAB meets atleast once in a year to review the programs
